The thought of a boudoir session can be scary! When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So here is a list of my most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Do you share my images?
Our number one priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking at times! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preference. Images are never shared without a signed release form. You are given the option to choose what level you are comfortable with, and we respect it, 100% of the time.
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! There are a BUNCH of outfit ideas other than lacy little things!
You can wear an oversized sweater and leggings, just a sheet, or even your significant other’s favorite jersey, etc. I’ve even had clients come in with roller derby skates and jerseys before!
Do you have payment plans?
YES! Actually, all of our clients pay their collection before their session with our flexible pre-payment options. We don’t offer payment plans after your session, so plan accordingly.
Is hair and makeup included?
YES! I work with a fabulously talented professional hair and makeup artist. Hair and Makeup styling is included in all of the boudoir sessions the studio offers! I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or Full on glam!
Do you photoshop my images?
We do slight retouching! What I mean by slight is we smooth your skin to make it radiant and glowing, we bring out highlights & shine in your hair, bring out your eyes and makeup, throw a little extra attention on those gorgeous tattoos if you’ve got them! We remove any acne, bruises, scars (we always ask if you want this!), etc!
Our method of retouching brings out YOUR natural, beautiful features. We never alter your body in any way or make you look like somebody else. When you come in for your reveal, our goal is to show you that beauty you’ve been having a difficult time seeing yourself.
Rest assured, you will look like a Goddess.
Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don’t like. If there are parts of yourself that are learning to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and bring out your shine!
Where should I buy outfits?

What type of print products do you offer?
Our most popular product is the luxury custom printed albums from a quality print lab! The 8x8 album with a matching presentation box in your favorite leather cover is by far my favorite pairing! Add a crystal album cover and - *chef’s kiss!*. We also offer beautiful wall art and some other fun print products that you will get to see at the studio!
Do you offer digitals?
Although our primary products are the luxury albums, we know you all love to have your images in digital format, so we do offer some digital options. The majority of our album collection packages include matching digital images and even the option of taking home your full digital collection so that you don’t have to part ways with a single image! Yes, you’re going to want ALL of them, trust me!
I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?
Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot makes your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first so much better!
Literally everyone is nervous at their shoot! I photograph every-day women, not models, so it’s totally normal to feel nervous at your shoot. There is no confidence prerequisite to getting a boudoir session done. Trust that the confidence comes AFTER the photoshoot.
Can I still do this if I don’t know how to pose sexy?
I am NOT expecting you to know what you’re doing at all. I guide you from HEAD to TOE, will coach you on expressions and what to do with your hands and even feet. I got you. I will even show you how to do a pose by doing the pose myself. All you have to do is show up, get pampered, and have fun!
Should I arrive to my shoot early?
Please plan to arrive to your photoshoot 10 minutes early. Life happens. You somehow hit every red light, or spill your coffee in your lap on your way, or whatever it may be. Build in that buffer so that you can come in feeling chill and ready to be pampered!
Where is your studio located?
Our studio is located on Summitview Avenue in Yakima across from the new Wilco and Planet Fitness. The entrance to the studio is private with dedicated parking spaces. Detailed instructions for finding the studio are included in your prep guide. We can’t wait to have you at the studio!
